Violence in literature always has a served purpose. Whether it may be words or physical it always triggers other problems. Jack Kerouac uses On the Road to express how a conflict turns into an ongoing process in the main character’s live, Sal and Dean. It is significant how their first problem leads on to other interesting events.
In the beginning of the story Dean becomes married to Marylou; however, short after their marriage a problem arise between Marylou and Dean. They are separated when Marylou “reported to the police some false trumped-up hysterical crazy charge.” (Section 1Chapter 1, pg 5)Dean, with no choice left, he leaves the house and stays over at Sal’s. Marylou’s motive was driven by the hatred for Dean. These conflicts help people to get the word out toward other character. Although Dean and Marylou reunite, they become separated again.
Thomas C. Foster mentions how violence is not just violence but it also creates suffering. Dean, a player suffers through the way he runs his life, after the conflict between Marylou in the beginning of the story. Now he supports two families, while being a father to two children of different mothers. He ends up divorcing and sleeps with other people and just enjoys the way his life runs. This situation represents how vital it is to have hardships in life. Without hardships life wouldn’t be as enjoyable.

Every trip is a quest. In the Jack Kerouac's novel On the Road, the main characters are always looking for trouble. They constantly move destinations to nearby places or far courses. They often hitchhike and often time themselves stuck, unable to change their course. It is significant how these characters go through hardships, because they always learn something.
In this ongoing quest, Sal is on a quest to places all over the United States. He faces lot problems to get there. He doesn’t have enough money to feed him and ends up starving after using his money. Sometimes his mind challenges him. Driven his sexual motives he even wastes money in bars and fail to seduce women on other occasions he succeeds and ends up wasting money on a hotel room. He also tries to hitchhike however, as it is the cheapest way to get around the country. On his last trip with Sal and Dean, they go to Mexico.
The stated reason for going to Mexico was Sal wanted to meet his relatives. On the other hand for Dean’s case, he wanted to get his divorce done faster. As Thomas C. Foster mentions that everyone’s real reason for a quest is self-knowledge. "I realized what a rat he was, but then I had to understand the impossible complexity of his life" In this trip Sal learns how selfish his friend Dean is(Section 4 Chapter 6 pg 276). This is very significant because it shows how people are selfish. Even may one be selfish but they understand either because they are old friends. It signifies how important young relations can turn out to be.

Whenever people eat or drink together, it is communion. As for the Book On the Road, written by Jack Kerouac it contains a lot of communions. Many are successful communions; however Sal the main character of the story fails to share and keep peace. It is important how it influences his later life.
In first part of the story, Sal meets a girl meets a girl named Remi. Sal tries to ask her to sleep with her. She has no interest in doing so and was very unsuccessful in gaining trust. The next time they met, Sal brought his buddies a long with him. Not only did his first reputation mess his beginning relationship with Remi; however, Roland Major crashed their relation. Not only did he show up late, but he was also very rude. After that it was the end of the Remi and Sal although at the fourth part of the story Sal does try to look for Remi, which turns to be unsuccessful.
Like Thomas C. Foster said, that failed meal carries negative connotations. When Sal is done flirting, he finally looks for Remi again; however, he is unsuccessful and ends up with another person in his life. “so we agreed to love each other madly,” and his bad meal ends up as failure to make successful love(section 5 pg 278). In the end it seems as if the story will continue as if Sal will go through the same process Dean did, because Sal is now married. It shows that he had the chance to make a good life before, which he missed in his life time.

In fact they were in more struggles after this incident. They tried all they could and ever stole cars to get to the their destination. They also tried to steal gas all the time to earn money or to save money for their trip. One time they even stole a detective’s car and they even abandoned it, because it was dangerous. Their animalist behaviors also showed because they were in a panic mode. The way things have run was not good enough for them. They wanted a better life, a better way to get around life and cheat life.

Is that a symbol? Most likely yes, throughout the novel 3 years pass inside thd story of On the Road, by Jack Kerouac. Many times we refer symbol to items; however, in this novel this symbol is referred to time. It is significant to see how the people go through metamorphosis.
During the whole course of the novel, Sal and Dean go through many hardships. They first visit Denver and they just make plans up as they move along. They sometimes hitchhike. Sometimes they go to a bar to seclude a woman. Sometimes they even steal, however throughout this novel, these two men stay as close friend as they share the same experience and they move about the same route, and meet each other again in their journeys. Until at the end they depart each other, Dean being the hobo.
Throughout this novel Time is an important symbol. No matter what they go through they always look for troubles in the novels. They encounter about the same conflicts throughout the novel and they tend to forget their place in the novel. Often times things repeat over and over again, expecting something unusually might happen, but the significant of repeating itself is very important. It shows a life lesson to the reader about how time passes fast. And before you know your too old to carry on your journey with your friend in the end. You have to depart him and start a family. Start a different life that you would have never expected in your life. Therefore time is an important symbol of this book

Maybe you need to write better transitions. I know I'm not good at doing that myself but starting a intro sentence with "Thomas C. Foster" may not be the great idea. Also try not to use brackets. For the 2nd bracket, we already know its the author because you have stated it in you introductory paragraph. Also leave a gap for the reader. Some of us might choose reading it at the end? Who knows, maybe too less information might make it captivating to read.

I like how u wrote"However the importance of the chapter lies in lack of connection between father and son." It grabs the reader's attention, maybe even makes them want to read it to find out what the lack of connection between the father and the son is.
